Managing your DNS records through NameSilo is straightforward. Follow the steps below to set up your OnePoundEmail account effectively.
Step 1: Log in to Your NameSilo Account
- Navigate to NameSilo and log in to your account using your credentials.
Step 2: Select Your Domain
- From the dashboard, locate the domain you wish to manage under the Your Domains section.
- Click on the domain name to access its management settings.
Step 3: Access the DNS Management Page
- On the domain management page, scroll down to find the DNS Records section.
- Click on the Edit DNS Records button to enter the DNS management interface.
Step 4: Remove Pre-existing MX Records
- In the DNS Records table, check for any pre-existing MX records.
- If applicable, select the MX records and click the Delete button to avoid conflicts.
Step 5: Locate Your New DNS Records in DirectAdmin
- Log in to your DirectAdmin account.
- Navigate to the DNS Management section from the main dashboard or use the search functionality to find it.
Step 6: Copy Your MX Records to NameSilo
- In DirectAdmin, find your new MX records, which will typically look like this:
mx safari.mxrouting.net 10
mx safari-relay.mxrouting.net 20
- Return to the NameSilo DNS management page and click on Add DNS Record.
- Select MX from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the details for the MX records you retrieved from DirectAdmin and click Add Record.
Step 7: Copy Your SPF Record to NameSilo
- Retrieve your SPF record from DirectAdmin.
- In the NameSilo DNS management page, click on Add DNS Record again.
- Select TXT from the dropdown menu.
- In the Host field, enter your domain (or leave it blank for the root domain), and in the Value field, paste your SPF record.
- Click Add Record to save your SPF record.
Step 8: Copy Your DKIM Record to NameSilo
- Locate your DKIM record in DirectAdmin.
- Return to the NameSilo DNS management page and click on Add DNS Record once more.
- Select TXT from the dropdown menu.
- In the Host field, enter the name of your DKIM record (this is usually something like
default._domainkey
), and in the Value field, paste your DKIM record value.
- Ensure you do not include any quotation marks, as NameSilo will format this upon saving the record.
- Click Add Record to save your DKIM record.
